Life is getting more demanding for plastic electronic enclosures. These days they must be waterproof, resistant to intense UV rays (even in Britain) – and tough enough to take a beating.

But we’re not talking about the great outdoors. No, this is all about another challenging environment that can spell disaster for fragile electronics…

  • moulded from a UV stable plastic such as ASA+PC-FR – because sunlight can rot plastics even indoors
  • tough but with ergonomic bevels – curves are not just more comfortable, they also seem to be better at shrugging off impacts
  • highly stable with non-slip rubber feet (they may be prosaic but they work!)
  • assembled with stainless steel Torx screws to prevent tampering (a ‘must have’ specification for the medical sector).

NEW EVOTEC 100 Table-Top Enclosures

Joining EVOTEC sizes 150 (150 x 93 mm), 200 (200 x 124 mm) and 250 (250 x 155 mm) is the new size 100 (100 x 62 mm). All four sizes feature a flat top. The 200 and 250 are also available with sloping tops (either recessed or non-recessed). They’re canted at a 12° angle for optimum comfort.

Every EVOTEC features a large operating area in the top panel for switches, pushbuttons and touchscreen displays – along with screw pillars in the top and base for installing your PCBs.
